PARENT SETUP · HOME NETWORK
Connect your microphone.
Phones and other computers need a trusted HTTPS connection before a website can ask to use the microphone. This setup stays on your home network.
One-time iPhone / iPad setup
A parent must do this. Installing this certificate adds a trusted certificate authority to your device. Only install the certificate from your own Eli Jack Show computer. This does not install an app, VPN, or device management.
- Open this page in Safari, connected to your home Wi-Fi.
- Download the Eli Jack Show home certificate. Allow the profile download.
- Open Settings → General → VPN & Device Management, choose the downloaded Eli Jack Show Home Certificate, and install it. Your iPhone may ask for its passcode.
- Open Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings. Enable full trust for Eli Jack Show Home Certificate.
- Return to Safari and open the secure website below. Sign in again, tap Start conversation, and allow microphone access.
If Safari still reports an untrusted certificate, stop and check the installation. Do not bypass the warning.

Certificate details and removal
The root signing key was discarded after creating this site's certificate. No trust settings are changed automatically. Remove the certificate/profile from VPN & Device Management when you no longer need it.
Other devices and sound playback
Windows, macOS and Android also need to trust this home certificate using their certificate settings. Have the device owner or administrator install the certificate as a trusted authority, then use the secure link. Managed devices may not allow this.
If microphone permission was previously denied, change that website's microphone setting to Ask or Allow. On Safari, open the page menu → Website Settings → Microphone. Also check Screen Time restrictions if present.
Tap Start conversation yourself. If a spoken reply is ready but the browser blocks playback, tap Play reply in the chat. Keep the page in the foreground and check device volume and Bluetooth output.
This works toward compatibility with current browsers, but devices differ. Background recording and locked-screen conversations are not supported.
